Recreative Art Center contributes to the mental, physical, and social health of adults and youth by providing group activities in art, music, and movement. We develop intergenerational volunteer opportunities with youth through partnerships with organizations who serve at-risk youth.

Promoting Active Minds & Bodies
Dr. Lawrence and Carol Brecker founded Recreative Art Center as an extension of Dermatology Clinic Ltd. Their joy in seeing healthy, active adults making vital contributions to the well-being of youth led to its creation. Dr. Brecker is a practicing dermatologist in Phoenix for over thirty years. He specializes in skin cancer prevention, detection and treatment. He is an avid photographer and dance student. Carol Brecker is retired from careers in social service, adult education, and project management. She is a proponent of volunteerism, yoga, music, gardening, and Ikebana floral arrangement.
