Youth Spoken Word

Spoken word is performance poetry – poetry composed to be heard rather than read. It is fluid and experimental, sometimes revolutionary, often deeply personal.

Spoken word poetry gives young people an opportunity to find their voices and express their passion, grief, and rage in a constructive environment which values literacy.
